What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxSanJoseCA, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSanJoseCA event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
TEDxSanJoseCA features riveting talks by remarkable people. It gathers some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share their passions and their own personal journeys.
The audience is a diverse mix of thought leaders from Silicon Valley. We come together to share ideas and inspire each other to make a difference. Connection is the electricity that runs through the event. Expect conversations that will change your life.
On April 14, 2012 join the speakers, attendees, and virtual-attendees from live viewing parties all over the world as they turn ideas into reality. We’re planting the seeds for a better tomorrow.
